Could you imagine a day without pointless meetings and email exchanges? Think of how much time you would have to complete your actual work! Sparqlight is hoping that its latest application will help businesses make teamwork an efficient way to complete projects.
The cloud-based application integrates with Google (News
- Alert) to offer an online space for productive work time. It uses Google Documents and supports Google sign-in so small businesses can manage projects on a team to team basis. The sign-in options makes it easy for any user to access information available only for team members to see.
A team leader grants access to the information and assigns tasks to team members. As progress is made, a timeline similar to Twitter (News - Alert) is updated so everyone on the team can see what was completed. Additional features include: to do lists, meeting scheduler, goals list, idea pad, notebook and templates. The app is most popular because it is easy to use. Team members can comment on work, giving feedback to everyone on their team directly from their tablet or phone. Perhaps the best feature is that team members can access charts and lists to visualize the progress of each project.
Sparqlight feels it goes beyond the question “What am I working on?” to make the online space the most productive place in the office. "Google and Sparqlight share a vision for refined simplicity, combined with cutting edge technology," said Brian Reisgen, Sparqlight co-founder and CEO, in a press release. "Now 50 million Google docs’ users can easily log-in to Sparqlight with their Google credentials and start to get work done. Attaching documents to Sparqlight workflows is just as easy -- just press a button to attach any Google document."
The application is now available through Google’s marketplace for a monthly subscription fee of $20.
